Shantia Coley is an in-house attorney for a Fortune 500 corporation. She handles a domestic and international litigation caseload and at any given time is handling over 150 cases across the globe. Shantia is also passionate about diversity and wellness. As a result, she speaks professionally to various organizatlons about living life on purpose and increasing diversity in the professional world.
Shantia attended Elon University for undergrad, receivng her Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She was the first in her family to attend and graduate from a four-year university. After two years of working as a lobbyist and field organizer for a statewide nonprofit. She attended North Carolina School of Law. Prior to working in house, she was in private practice and also a public defender for Mecklenburg County.
Among her many accolades, Shantia has been recginizeded by the National Black Lawyers Association as one of the top black attorneys in North Carolina. Nationally, she has been recognized by the National Bar Association as one of the top 40 litigators in the nation. Shantia is extremely involved in her community and has locally been named one of Charlotte Business Journal’s People On The Move .
Shantia is married to her law school sweetheart and is the mother of identical twin four year-old boys. In addition to handling litigation and speaking to varios groups, Shantia enjoys researching and writing . She is currently working on her firstbook-a devotional for professional women of color.
