Mel Renzo
Mel Renzo is a proud member of Charlotte Fire since 2017. Born and raised in urban Boston (Roxbury/Dorchester), Renzo attended the illustrious HBCU Norfolk State University receiving both a Bachelors and Masters in Communications. During this time he became a proud member of the Pi Gamma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.
Renzo has worked in media on a local and national level, including Host of our Charlotte Knights and NBA In-Arena Host for the Boston Celtics.
Today you can find Renzo active in our community as a member of Progressive Fire of CLT and highlighting our Charlotte fire stations and Fire Fighters on “Feature Friday” on Charlotte Fire’s social platforms.
Between saving lives and reporting live, Renzo continues to strive for making a positive impact in the community one interaction at a time.
